Class 14: The Invisible Hand

Textbook reading: Kreps, Chapter 15, all of it. It is short and has no calculus in the main text; where Kreps says “the area of the region,” we compute the area of a triangle or a rectangle, and where the curves are staircases (Figures 15.5 and 15.6) we count. Read Problem 15.6 on page 352 before class; Q42 is built on it.
